Well, today I got a call from a place I've been wanting to work at since we moved here! They are rated the number one employer in Nevada as per the Business Magazine or something like that. They have really good benefits including paid holidays, paid vacation, floating holidays, a birthday holiday, discounted child care, a hair salon on the premisices, yearly raises and bonuses, full medical, dental and vision, and 28 hours of paid personal time, as well as 2 weeks of vacation per year! It's crazy! I've never had a job with such good benefits! Anyways, I'm going to be starting on September 10th at Sierra Health Services, only 15 minutes away from our apartment. They are a huge insurance company and I'm going to be working back in claims and recovery. It pays better than what I'm getting as an optometric technician, so it'll help out a little more, and I even get my own desk...it's like a big cubicle that looks like an office and it's on the top floor, or close to it. I feel bad though just quitting on this job that I have now, because for the most part, they have treated me well. The thing that I hate is that I have to work Saturdays! I feel like I never get to see Jamie and we never get to really spend time together except on Sunday....which by the way we spoke at church on Sunday. So, yeah, we are very excited about my new job. I'm taking advantage of my benefits at my job at the eye doctor right now though! I just bought a pair of glasses for 32.5o. The lenses, and the eye appointment were free, and all I had to pay was 50% of the wholesale price. They are so cute! That for sure is an amazing benefit! I will miss that part. The other night we went shopping to Nordstrom Rack and I got the CUTEST shoes ever! I am so excited about it! Jamie was nice and let me spulge :) He spoils me!
Last night it rained all night and flooded in several parts of Vegas, it was crazy! Every time it rains, that's what happens. There is no where for the water to go. Everytime it rains, Vegas's saying on the news is "Turn around, don't drown." When it rains, it poors! The lightning shows are amazing though! Vegas evidently is known for them.
Last but not least, tonight we got a membership to Costco! We "HEART" Costco! We are so excited for it! We're such nerd-bombs. Anyways, love and miss you all!

Congrats on the new job - that is very exciting - it sounds like the dream job. I am liking my job - it is a very relaxed place and you can come and go as you please as long as your work gets done. I am there till the end of January then I go onto something different, hopefully laid back too!
Hmmm,,, Sounds like your having a great time there dog....Although i dono if you can top the benefit of flying around the country for free......lol But its a start. No, i;'m glad things are going well for you. Keep up the good work.
