Phantom of the Opera

The Phantom sign on the strip at the Venetian Casino.
Right out side of the doors of the Phantom seating.
We had such a wonderful weekend!! I have been looking forward to this weekend for a few weeks now, and am sad that it is over. As I previously said in my last entry, my brother Baden gave us Phantom tickets for Christmas at the Venetian. It was absolutely amazing! Believe it or not, Jamie even loved it! We were surprised we made it, because the traffic on the way there was horable! But, we walked in the doors about 8 minutes til! The theatre was crazy! The inside was kind of shaped like a dome, and it's acoustic affects were awesome! We had such good seats and could see everything! It was such a romantic evening! I totally loved the play, and the company :)! The theatre resembled an opera house and had fake people all up the sides of the walls sitting in balcony type seating. There was a huge chandelier, red carpet and seating, and the back drops were amazing! We couldn't believe the money that it must have cost to make that theatre, it was absolutely beautiful! They prohibited taking pictures or videos inside....but as sneaky as Jamie and I are...We were able to get a little glimpse on our camera for you all. I promised Baden I would take a picture or something for him. It didn't turn out the best, but it was better than nothing. I wish I could have filmed the very beginning when the chandeliers moved across the ceiling and the Phantom sings! It was so cool because all the music was performed live down below the stage, and you could see the director conducting the music. The bass was crazy! There was a part where fire shot out of the stage for only maybe 2 seconds, and we could feel actually feel the heat! They had affects like fog, and blue fog the resembled the water that rushed down the stage like a waterfall, strobe lighting, and lightning. It was crazy! Definantely worth going for anyone! Anyways, we really loved it, and I would go again in a heart beat! Thank you so so much Baden and Em we LOVED it!!!! Afterwords, we went and walked around in the Venetian, where neither one of us have been. We went and looked at the shops, that pretty much we wouldn't be able to afford a single thing in, but it was fun to pretend. There was a little river that went through the middle of the building with a guy rowing the boat and singing....very romantical :) We had a wonderful evening!

Seeing the videos makes me really want to go again but I'm sure Kash will veto it for the rest of our lives! Oh well! Glad you enjoyed it.
