My life in a nutshell
I read Cara's previous post, and thought it looked like a lot of fun, so I'm giving it a whirl. Here is a brief summary of my life.
20 years ago . . . 1988
Going to Kindergarten at Dietrich Elementary in Mrs. Jouraguei's class. Best friends with Alicia Shaw and crushing on Mark Telford. Playing with my umpteen cats on the farm and trying to tame every single one of them. Dressing up my cats in doll clothes. Sharing a bedroom (and bed, might I add...) with my sister, Amy. Still sucking my pointer finger...making a huge mistake because it was making me buck-toothed. Living on a farm and riding my bike everywhere with my siblings. My little brother Sid was born on my birthday and I was so mad because I had pink eye and couldn't hold him. My grandma was there telling me to eat lots of carrots so my eyes would heal...I ate so many carrots I about puked.
10 years ago . . . 1998
Family had a massive farm sale and auctioned off EVERYTHING so we could move up to Bigfork, Mt and get out of the farm industry. My sister, mom, and I baked many, many pies and auctioned them off as well. Moved up to Bigfork the end of my sophomore year after attending Minico High School in Rupert, Idaho. Moved into a single wide trailor with my entire family except Baden (he was in college). Family was struggling a lot financially and we ended up riding in my father's two seater work van for a family car and eating apricots in every way you could think of out of our food storage. Met my two best friends, Ashlee and Tairah in the ward and were unseperatable from then on. Miss them like crazy now :) Worked at the Wash Board cleaning tourists laundry. Found some nasty surprises in the sheets...never to be thought of again.

In my sophomore year of college. After majoring in Floral Design, I switched my major 360 degrees to Sociology with a minor in Child Developement. Living at Birch Plaza and loving my roomates. Staying up til 3 a.m. talking with my roomie Tiffany on a frequent status. Dating Jamie exclusively. Had to go our seperate ways during summer so I could make some money for the next school year. Talked on the phone every single night...Jamie racked up a pretty penny. (Skip a few sentences....) Married on October 25th in the Idaho Falls Temple, living in Rigby, Idaho in Jamie's grandparents old home. Working at BYU-Idaho Academic Advising (for three years).
3 years ago . . . 2005
Married for two years to Jamie. Graduated with my B.S. in Sociology Minor in Child Development. Started working at The Children's Center as a Psychosocial Rehabiliation Specialist with young children and loved it. Still living in Rigby, Idaho. Went on a fun trip to Vegas to go see my sister as well as Jamie's friend Ryker. Had a wonderful time! Going on walks with Jamie all around Rigby...making several trips to the famous Snow Shack (thank you Ashley :) Explored a new love, going to Rigby Lake...where Jamie and I have many fond memories now. The perfect get away for a summer's afternoon.
1 year ago . . . 2007
Moved to Las Vegas, NV on July 5th into a one-bedroom apartment (still parked there) during the hottest week of the year (118 degrees). Sent Jamie off to two different business trips during our first two weeks living in Vegas (the hardest two weeks, ever!) Got a job as an eye technician but wasn't making enough mula. Changed jobs to work at Sierra Health Services and love it, got immediate and excellent benefits. Started to explore Vegas and discovered that Vegas has wonderful shopping :) Jamie interned at Valley Crest and was offered a full time job as an estimator with them right before Christmas.
Yesterday . . .
I went to church with Jamie and lead music for Relief Society. Made lasagne, which Jamie openly admitted that he didn't like because I used left overs of corn and beans that were in the fridge...yeah, it wasn't the greatest, I'll admit it too. But you have to explore! Took a long nap, went on a two hour walk with Jamie and had a heart to heart conversation. Came back and had floats, watched I am Legend (the alternate ending version).
Today . . .
I went to work, and had a crazy busy day! Came home and made mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken and corn (my all time favorite), cleaned the house and did laundry, cuddled with Jamie, and am now watching Bachelor and blogging.
Tomorrow . . .
I will get up at 6:00 a.m. and get ready for work. Go to the temple with Jamie and probably eat some grub at the the cafeteria there. Hope to watch American Idol if Jamie doesn't have the control. Hopefully get some time to talk to my parents.
This year I will . . .
Lose weight. Maybe get pregnant. Possibly move, but don't know where...or maybe just stay in Vegas. Hopefully go on a vacation with Jamie, maybe to Mexico.

Nice Linsy. That's pretty cool. Maybe I should post something like that sometime. You pretty well covered it all though. Hopefully that "This year" one can happen this year, eh? Love ya.
20 years ago was 1988 by the way.
So...you better go on your trip to Mexico so Jamie doesn't have any more excuses as to not getting pregnant! Just kidding - glad you guys are doing well - so I take it you haven't decided if you are moving yet?
hey that was so cute! I loved it! I had no idea that you were Sid's sister! I think he is such a fun guy!
Um... HI!!!
Um... we're moving to Vegas in 2 weeks! (well, Henderson)
Holy cow I miss you - we must get together!
To answer the questions and comments...yes, hopefully "this year" that whole thing will happen and we are still deciding on what to do about moving. It's a process, ya know? Praying, fasting, weighin out the pros and cons...and getting up the courage to pack and do it ALL over again! But...whatever happens, happens :) Love you guys!!
P.S. We are open to suggestions! My mom is having me read "Hearing the Voice of the Lord" by Gerald Lund. It is an amazing book. I recommend it to anyone who has a lot of questions regarding prayer.
Love,
Linsy
