Our New Place

Well, Jamie and I have been working hard in getting our condo ready for move in this coming week. We are hoping to be all moved in this coming Saturday. Yesterday, Jamie and I cleaned almost the entire house, with only minor things left. While we were cleaning the house, the carpet cleaners were in for a bit as well. Though it wasn't Heaven's Best (the company my dad has a franchise with), they did an okay job, considering it was steam cleaned. The homeowner refused to get them cleaned before we moved in, but I kind of threw a little fit about it, and told them that they needed to be cleaned, so we got our way! :) I also asked them again to paint the house for the scuffs on the walls, but she still refused to get that done. But, the most important thing was the carpet...so it's okay. The crazy thing is, the condo has been vacant for over a year because the homeowner has been trying to sell it as she's been living in Georgia. The reason she hasn't been able to sell it is because she has it up for $275,000! With this housing market, there is no way she could sell it for that much. But, she did take it off the market while we are living in it so it won't get sold underneith us, which is a comfort. Like I said, it has been vacant for over a year now, so it needed a little touch up. Though, I can't complain, it really wasn't too bad to begin with! It is just more comforting to know that we cleaned and sanitized it and KNOW it is clean now. Anyways, we are totally excited to move in and will start bringing things over starting tomorrow after work! Here are some pics of our new abode. We'll take a video and some more pics once we are totally moved in.
The living room. Don't worry, the curtains are comin' down!
The master bathroom. The only thing we don't like about the condo, is this bathroom is carpeted. But, we'll deal with it! :)
The kitchen. It's so big!
The living room from the kitchen.
Our porch, with trees around it! You don't understand...all we have right now at our apartment is a view of asphalt and cars. We are sooo excited to have grass in the back, trees, and flowers!
