Happy 4th of July!

We just can't believe we've already been here in Las Vegas for one full year! July 5th was our "Vegas anniversary," and we couldn't help but reflect on what we were doing this time of year last year. We had watched the Rexburg parade with Dorsie and Kash and Cara. Afterwords, we went to the Hotdog and Custard stand to grab a bite to eat and sat in the park and ate. That night we had gone to the theatre to watch Ocean's 13, and absolutely hated it, because we were so nervous to move to Vegas, which was where that movie was taken place. This was our first big move, and though we were nervous...we were excited to try something new! One year later, here we are. We are enjoying ourselves, and have somehow gotten a LITTLE used to the heat. It hit 112 today, which was a torcher...but not signs of heat exhaustion yet this year :) This 4th of July, we had a great time together! The night of the 3rd, I had gotten free tickets at work to go to the Las Vegas 51's vs. the Salt Lake Bee's minor leage baseball game. We had a blast! the 51's lost by three, but we still had a good time! We now live in a community of Las Vegas called Summerlin where it is much more greener and lush. We just love it! So, we went to their little parade...though it was 2 hours long! But, were lucky enough to have sat in the shade the whole time! It was great! It was the first parade though that I haven't seen candy be thrown out. The kids next to us didn't like that too well! Instead of floats, they had a lot of these huge stuffed animals! It was so weird, but kinda fun to see! We took a picture of Jamie infront of Valley Crest Landscaping as they walked through the parade, the company that he works for now. After the parade, we unpacked a little bit more and took a long needed nap! We then walked over to the Red Rock Casino, just two blocks from our condo, and ate at the yummiest sandwich place ever called Capriellies. Then we went over to the pool area where the casino had a huge plot of fake turf for the public to sit on during their fireworks show. It was aboslutely amazing! It was only 12 minutes long, but they had it choreographed to music and packed in tons of fireworks! It was literally a grand finale the entire show! We had a great time just hanging out! Here's a picture of us infront of the casino, this is where we go to the movies and hang out a lot.

The fireworks were absolutely gorgeous!
