China

Our good friends, Emily and Steve, invited over to there house on the opening night of the Olympics for some authentic Chineese food that Emily made for everyone. We had such a good time! The food was totally different than anything i've ever tasted, but was actually really good! My favorite was the cucumbers with giner and garlic, and the eggplant. She was teaching us how to say the dishes in Chineese, but...I forgot :) Anyways, we watched the opening ceremony of the Beijing Summer Olympics and she gave us a lot of insight and culture updates of what was going on. It actually made it more interesting and fun to watch. She is so educated on her culture! If any of you didn't watch the opening ceremony, you totally missed out! It was amazing! We've now been watching the Olympics every night. We are totally fans of Michael Phelps, but then again...who isn't?!

HOw fun!! I would love to eat authentic Chinese food! Wasn't the opening ceremony freakin sweet? But at the same time it was kind of freaky to see those 2008 "clones" drumming! Pat was sure they could take over the world so easily! haha Oh and cute Idaho pics!!!

I love watching the olympics too. I haven't watched any so far cause we don't have cable. But I always love watching the gymnists...hahaha and the kayakers because the course looks like it would make a really fun water slide. wow.. sorry for the weird comments...it's late.

I know, I know! I'm feel bad we didn't see each other. I was just antsy to get down there--then we didn't realize how occupied we would be--sorry! Well we enjoyed seeing the opening ceremony, too! So amazing! The food you ate looks delicious!
