Jamie and I had an interesting weekend, we had the opportunity to go see my brother Sid on his mission in St. George !! Doesn't he look good?! We left Saturday afternoon to meet him at the St. George Temple Visitor's Center. When I walked in the doors, he immediately gave me a great big hug, which got a lot of people looking suspicious around us! ha! He had to make sure he told people that I was his sister to get the weird looks away from us! haha! But, before he told them, he kept saying, "Don't worry, it's my P-day!" We had a good laugh about it. Fortunately, he hasn't lost his sense of humor! He's definatly still SID. We took him and his companion out to eat for a wonderful lunch at Olive Garden. His companion Elder Christensen got the largest thing on the menu I think, and ate EVERY SINGLE BITE! He said he might as well enjoy it, because he won't have a meal like that until he gets back home. On the flip side, Sid ate half of his meal to keep the other half for leftovers for dinner. From how they were acting, I thought for sure their cupboards would be empty! He took us up to his apartment to show us around. He opened up the fridge and cupboards to prove that infact, he was not starving. The members take great care of them. The bishopric lets them go "grocery shopping" in the food storage all the time! Anyways, we took him back to the church house to pick up their bikes and to drop them off so they can start tracting when we said goodbye. He showed the church where he had a very frustrating experience with an elderly lady. Long story short, he was fixing up a bike flat for the second time that day, and they were trying to make it up to an appointment. They went to the church garage to grab another tire, which of course was flat as well. An elderly lady came out of an enrichment meeting and evidently needed help carrying things, and got mad at Sid because he wasn't their "Johnny on the spot" and basically telling him he's not being a good missionary. Sid nicely put her in her place by telling her "Sister, on a normal day I would love to be in their helping you, but it is more important that we fix our bike right now to be able to make it to appointments." She wasn't too happy about the answer. Anyways, we had to take a picture of the spot it happened. Sid willingly posed as he remembered the lady looking while talking to him! LOL Anyways, it was sure great to see him. It's crazy we live so close! I told him he is my closest relative right now. So weird to think of it that way! On the way home, we hit one of the hardest rain storms I've ever seen. I swear we were going through a hurricane! It seriously was a like a blizzard, but with rain! Anyways, we made it home safely and even got home in time to play Ticket to Ride with our friends Steve and Emily. They are so fun to be with! We love living so close to them!

All of us in front of the St. George Temple.

At Olive Garden. We had a good laugh after the waiter asked us all if we wanted to try their specialty wine of the day!

At the Vistor's Center.

Sid imitating the angry lady, which happened at this exact spot! LOL A story my family will never forget!

Sid standing infront of his apartment. Peach tree to the right.

Long hard days of work and walking=worn out shoes.

Just after we said goodbye to Sid, we took a picture of the big mountain by his apartment/area. Such a unique place! So pretty!
Took this picture after braving the largest rain storm we have ever seen. You normally can see the huge mountains, but as you can see, mean clouds are everywhere. It was crazy, right after the rain storm, we were back in the beaming sunlight and had to turn on the A/C again! Weirdest weather ever!
