Double Date Friday!

On Friday night, we met up with our friends Steve and Emily for a double date. We ate at Hash House A Go-Go where they serve "twisted farm food!" It was so fun. I ordered chicken waffles, and they were so good!!! That was probably one of the most most "twisted" things on the menu :) But, we just had to try it. Their portions are absolutely HUGE, so we split everything. It's like a farm atmosphere, but they fix their food so beautifully and creative. Emily's fried green tomatoes came lined up on a kabob stick, and stuck in a huge chunk of watermelon. My chicken waffles came stacked on a steak knife, stuck in a stack of waffles, and Jamie's food literally came out on a extra large platter! Anyways, I just had to take some pictures! Click on the picture to enlarge it to see details of the food!!!
Scared out of our pants!

After dinner, we headed over to the Insane Asylum, where we payed $11 bucks each (and stood in line for 2 hours) to get scared out of our pants! That was probably the freakiest haunted house I've ever been in. And, I thought the Haunted Mill in Rexburg was bad! The Insane Asylum was like a crazy house for all the "crazies." They had people with all types of mental disorders like schizophrenia and stuff....it was just freaky. Emily and I were screaming the whole way! She made Steve go in front, and I made Jamie stay behind me...but, it didn't help much. I get scared way too easy! And the stupid chainsaw man didn't help anything! Here we are getting ready to walk into the Asylum doors....eek! I realized after the picture was taking that the freaky guy was acting like he was going to choke Emily! Freaky!

Anyways, we had a great time together! They are the greatest friends and we always have such a fun time with them!

If you ever come to Memphis - that is what they serve - fried green tomatoes and chicken waffles - interesting! Looks like a fun place to eat though and the haunted house looks fun!
