This weekend, Jamie's mom and her husband Layne came down to Vegas to stay for the weekend! We have been looking forward to them coming for months, and it has finally gone...and passed. But, we made a lot of memories and had tons of fun together! We got to the airport Friday night, loaded up their bags in the car and took them over to The Cheesecake Factory and had a delicious meal there. You can never go wrong with that place. We sat outside on their little patio and enjoyed the beautiful weather and candle light. We came back and gave them the grand tour of the Sullenger home, and talked until 1 am. On Saturday, we all slept in then watched the morning conference...well an hour of it. We had all forgotten that conference starts at 9 here, not 10. After waffles and getting ready for the day, we headed over to Costco following that, we went to the Red Rock Casino that is about 2 blocks from our place and grabbed a yummy sandwich from Capriottis. We then went to an IMAX matinee at the Palms Casino and watched Eagle Eye. Michele got motion sickness really bad...we felt so sorry for her. After recovering from the movie, we went to the Strip and bummed around the casinos for a while...til midnight...and then went and ate at Denny's at 12 am! I honestly think that was the latest meal I have every eaten in my life. It was a lot of fun though! We got home and headed straight to bed....slept in again and got up to watch conference in our p.j.'s. After conference, we took a Sunday drive up to Mt. Charleston and oooed and awwed over the beautiful mountains and bright yellow quakies. It's actually fall up there...weird. We took a bunch of pictures and froze. I don't know how cold it was up there, but I was freezing! Anyways, got back and popped in a movie (Dan in Real Life) and then went to bed. We took them to the airport on Monday afternoon...and miss them already. Though it went by quick, we had a great time with them and can't wait to see them again this Thanksgiving! Thanks Michele and Layne for such a fun weekend and staying with us! We love you!
