Our litte corner.

Welcome to Jamie and Linsy's little corner of the world. Here you will experience a little piece of what the Sullengers experience- a good portion of their lives including happiness, sadness, hopelessness, excitement, frustration and I'm sure a few more. We hope to keep you up to date on all the news that we have, so sit back, gossip, and enjoy!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

The fact that this economy is as bad as it is, and that we have pretty much spent our last paycheck fixing up the cars, including getting them both aligned, oil changed, brakes fixed, new tires, replaced the bushings...and whatever else, we have decided to save money a little bit more, and stay home these past couples of weekends. It's been so relaxing! Last weekend, we played Ticket to Ride with Steve and Emily...Jamie kicked all of our butts! We also had a good time playing with their son Tyler. He's pure entertainment that boy is! He even gave me his first kiss...how sweet! :) This weekend, we walked down the street and grabbed some yummy lettuce wraps at Pei Wei, and came back home and totally just vegged. Tonight we had Emily and Steve over for chicken enchiladas! Yum! Steve gave me a guitar lesson...which i've been practicing on every single day! When I finally get a song down, I will post me playing it on here. I love playing the guitar! It's so fun and a great stress reliever.
Anyways, call us crazy...but we totally decorated for the holidays this weekend! I know...it's a little early...but we have reasoning behind it. First of all, no matter how long we wait, it will never snow here or get that cold, so we can't really use that as a mile marker to decorate for Christmas. You pretty much have to decorate in your own home to make it feel like the holidays down here. Second of all, we will be gone for a week in December (we are headed up to Montana for Christmas!), and we will be in Idaho for Thanksgiving. So, we really don't have that much time to really enjoy the holidays without putting our decorations up just a bit early. On the side note, we have been begging for some sweater weather around here, and have gotten only a couple days here and there. This Saturday was still 75 degrees! Can I just say.....Let it snow?!?! It's definately an adjustment living in Las Vegas during the holidays. I guess, putting up our decorations makes it feel just a little bit more like home and a little bit more like the holidays. Now, it finally feels like Thanksgiving could be in a week and a half, and Christmas really is only a month away!
Our humble Christmas tree. I just love it!
My garland and twinkle lights in my kitchen! I've always wanted overhanging cabinets to do this.
