All that work for this?
For enrichment night, the presidency taught us how to make whole wheat bread. Well, here is my bread. It sunk! I let it rise for an hour and 15 minutes, and when I took off the covering to bake it, it sunk...and kept sinking while baking. I'm thinking it might be because I transported it from the church, to my house in the cold. I don't know. But, it took so much work, and I can't believe this was the outcome. Emily and I made our bread together and she took two loaves. One turned out okay, and the other one didn't rise. But, the good part is it still made the house smell amazing and it actually was pretty good believe it or not! We ate 3/4 of the loaf that night. I thought it would totally be dense and hard but it wasn't. We just ended up slapping on some butter when it was fresh out of the oven and it tasted so good! I'm still so dissapointed that it didn't rise all pretty though...
So, all you bread makers (mainly my sister and my mom) what happened?!

Okay, I have been trying to make homemade bread for the past 2 months, and failing each time with a BRICK for a loaf of bread. I came a little closer tonight, but still... if you get a good recipe PLEASE send it to me.
Oh, and WHEN ARE WE GETTING TOGETHER?!?!?!
We had to make homemade bread all the time growing up and my sister had a batch that turned out like this once... it affectionately became known as "pansy bread". (don't ask me where we came up with that name) Don't worry, everyone has to have one that flops :)
Maybe don't let it rise so long? I usually let mine go 30 minutes max. I'm happy to see ya being domestic though, Lin:) Good for you!!
