Big shout out to Jamie for a very happy birthday! He turned 30 on Sunday! I tried to spoil him the most I could...on a budget. So, I made a meal of his choice with steak, potatoes, carrots, and sticky rolls. Then, we headed over to our friends house and played games. Sadly, Jamie didn't win, even though it was his birthday. But, i'll be proud to say that I kicked everyone's butts! ha! We then came home and I wrapped up all of his presents in Christmas wrapping because that was all we had. Who cares though, right? It all does the same job anyways! I ended up getting him some shirts, a tie, and a Shutterfly book focusing on our 5 years of marriage. It turned out pretty good, I think. Though Sunday was Jamie's 'real' birthday, he pretty much dedicated Friday-Monday as his birthday. Since Friday, he has used the excuse "because it's my birthday" for EVERYTHING! He even said he can complain about my cooking because "it's my birthday!" or "I can sleep in this long because It's my birthday!" or "I can be mad at you because it's my birthday!" or "I don't have to help with the dishes because it's my birthday!" I seriously heard it probably a hundred times over the weekend. But, guess what Jamie...next Monday is MY birthday, so be prepared! ha ha!
On Monday, our friends Emily and Steve threw a surprise party for Jamie. It was a last minute decision, so it ended up just being a few of us, but it was still way fun. Emily made her amazing chocolate cheesecake with strawberries and kiwis, and we just sat around and laughed and talked. It was fun to surprise him...he had no idea! He kept calling me a little conniver! It was great! Thanks Emily and Steve for doing that for him! You guys are the best!

Ah Happy Birthday. Why didnt I know that your birthdays were so close together. Some friend...sheesh. Dinner looks awesome Lins. Its 10am and I just want to grab a fork and dig in. It looks awesome. I love the gifts, that book looks like it turned out great. 5 years goes too fast, I can't believe it. I miss you guys. We are going to be in st george April 13 for a week. Maybe we could try to get together for dinner or something?? I love ya both tons!
