Atleast it wasn't a bandaid!

Last night, Jamie and I went out to enjoy a nice meal together after he had been gone all day for a golf tournment (stay tuned for a soon to come post about his golf tournament!). We both woke up early in the morning, and I stayed home and cleaned the house, worked out, went swimming and layed out (which was heavenly!), and then went to the mall. Ok, so the mall is not as cool or as fun when you go alone, it doesn't matter how much you like to shop! I was in the mall for a total of probably 20 minutes, then decided to leave. Anyways, I got home to meet up with Jamie to go catch some dinner together. Well, we were sitting there talking, and sharing Jamie's starter salad, when I all of a sudden bit down on something really hard and awkward. I bit down again thinking it was a hard crouton or something and realized it wasn't. I pulled it out of my mouth, when I notice it's a chunk of wood! It looked like the end of a ruler. It was about an inch long and an inch wide, but was green, so it blended in with the salad! The waiter happened to come over right after I pulled it out of my mouth and set it on a plate. He stopped and asked how everything was. I nicely showed him the piece of wood and said, "i'm not trying to cause a scene or anything, but I just found a chunk of wood in the salad." He said "sorry about that..." and took the plate and left. We were confused, thinking they weren't going to do anything about it. We sat there wondering if we should ask for a new salad, or free meal or something. But, we didn't want to make a big fuss about it and decided not to worry about it. All of a sudden, a man came over and brought over our main dishes. After he put them on the table, he stooped down and said he was the manager and that it had been brought to his attention what happened. He apologized for what happened and told us that the meal was on them. I think he was worried I might sue the restaurant or something. We laughed about it, and tried to make light of the situation by saying: "well, atleast it wasn't a bandaid!"

This happened to me except mine was a rock and it was in my steak. My meal was free too. I hate when this happens, but you are right, at least it wasn't a band-aid...

So, haha I don't know how I missed like your last few posts! Umm, glad that it wasn't a bandaid as well! That's sweet you got a free meal though. That's even sweeter that you own your car! I liked the pic of jamie in front of the car!
