The Circus

A couple weeks ago, my work gave out free tickets to go to the Circus down at the Southpoint Casino in Henderson. I was actually really excited to go, because I haven't gone since I was a kid. But, after going, I think I now know why my parents only took us to the circus only once! The animals were pretty cool, but the workers were...lets just say, interesting. If you've ever been to the fair and taken a look at their carnival ride workers, you'll know what I mean. I came to the conclusion that circus workers are pretty much just glorified carnies. My favorite was the guy that was working with the tigers in the cage. He was probably in his late 50's, with long white hair and a beard wearing a skin tight leather suit with the front unbuttoned so you could see his hair chest! I was laughing so hard while the hard metal music was blaring in our ears, and he was dancing around like a wild animal in the cage! He'd even climb up the cage and shake it like he was in prison or something. LOL ha! We certainly made some memories! At the end of the circus, they had "the world's biggest cannon" come out, and shot this guy like a cannonball out of the barrel, across the room into a net! It was pretty dang crazy!
My favorite were the elephants... they did some pretty cool tricks. Our least favorite were the shetland ponies that were imitating "my little pony" with their hair dyed in all different colors. All they did was run around in a circle for 10 minutes... yeah. That was our experience at the circus. Been there, done that!
