A GIRL!

Well, Jamie's dad was right! We weren't able to find out last time what we are having because the baby was stubborn and...IS a girl! Jamie and I are so excited! We just found out yesterday that we will be having a little girl. We have seriously been in shock since we found out, and frankly are having a hard time believing it! But, the tech said he couldn't have gotten a clearer shot of the gender. Jamie asked the ultrasound technician about 6 times if he was sure, and what his chances are of being wrong. The tech was starting to get a little annoyed I think and finally said, "let's put it this way, I wouldn't tell you if I wasn't sure." Then when we checked out, we were talking to the secretary and she said he has only been wrong 4 times in the past 20 years! So, I think our chances are pretty good that it is, indeed, a girl. You might be wondering why we are so shocked about this? Well, I have 4 brothers and 1 sister. 6 nephews and 0 neices. Jamie has 2 brothers and no sisters. And, well, the list goes on and on. Pretty much boys dominate both of our families. So, we are just thrilled to have a little girl enter into our home and can hardly wait for her arrival! Now, we just need to start thinking of some girls names. We just thought for sure it was going to be a boy!
The other thing we were told yesterday is that my due date is back to July 25th. Confused? so am I. Evidently August 7th is my latest due date, and that they wouldn't want me to go much past that. I guess it is kind of a range.... it is so confusing! So, I am now almost 23 weeks along. Only 4 months to go until our baby girl arrives! :) Here's the "It's a girl!" pic... When the tech showed us it, he said "any guesses of what it is? It's a pretty clear shot." Don't feel bad if you don't see anything, we didn't either. The baby is upside down and turned away.
We got 3D pics! They just got their new machine a couple weeks ago. We were totally stoked about it! Our next ultrasound will be at 32 weeks. They'll be able to get some really good pictures by then when the baby is more developed.
