For the 4th, Jamie and I hung out with Michele and Layne. Jamie and I woke up early to get to our ward's breakfast at 7 a.m. and enjoyed some yummy biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns, and watermelon! We're all for a free hot breakfast! This 4th was so cold, I couldn't believe it!

4th of July
Better late than never...

We headed over to the Idaho Falls parade, and I wore long pants, tennis shoes, a hoodie, and even brought a blanket! I couldn't believe how cold it was! It finally started warming up around 1-ish, but it still was a little cold all day long. It was probably the first parade I've been to where we were looking for a spot in the sunshine rather than the shade! The parade was sooo long. For some reason, it started for about 15 minutes and stopped for 30-45 minutes with absolutely nothing. We have no idea what the delay was, but it made the parade go for about 3 1/2 hours altogether. After the parade, we went over to Scotty's and grabbed a burger and fries. We then went over to Michele and Layne's and hung out with Layne's kids for a while and had a good time with them. At about 9:30, we headed over for the fireworks and watched them on the railroad tracks.
We got a pretty good view! Although it was a cold 4th, we had such a fun time with Michele and Layne!
