A Beautiful Day
It's been a difficult three weeks for all of us since the accident involving Preslee. We've been missing her terribly and think about her every single day. Despite such a hard and tragic thing, there have been blessings come from this. It's been wonderful to see the family get closer and come together during such a difficult time in all of our lives. I feel our family bond has become tighter, and relationships have strengthened.
There was a viewing on Monday evening. There were hundreds of people who attended to give Patrick and Ashley their love. It was so sweet to see so many people there to support the family. We were able to meet the Calls, whom were the brothers that found Preslee that night. It was humbling hearing them speak about their experience. It is truely a miracle how intune they were/are to the Spirit at the time of the accident. We are so thankful for them and their ability to be able to use the Priesthood that evening. The funeral was on Tuesday and couldn't have turned out more beautiful. The Spirit was felt so strong. There was a family prayer after the brief viewing given by Ashley's Grandpa Siddoway. Tiffany played the organ and I lead the music. I couldn't stop crying, but finally got it together. Kash did the life sketch, and did an excellent job. Ashley's Grandpa Whiteman gave such a touching talk. I will remember it the rest of my life. I just wanted him to keep talking and talking. He definately taught a lot and had such great insite on what goes on after this life. He surely brought peace into everyone's hearts. Dorsie gave the closing prayer. Jamie, Kash, Rhett, Wyatt, Mike, and Dustin were the pallbearers. We then proceeded to the Sutton Cemetary where Patrick gave a beautiful dedication prayer. The Sutton Cemetery is probably the most beautiful grave site I have ever seen. It's located out in Archer, tucked up against beautiful hills. It is brilliant green with all the grass, trees and farm land. It was so peaceful. When you go there, you can't hear anything but sprinkler pipe, cows and horses grazing in the pasture. I'm sure Preslee is happy with her parents choice. It's absolutely beautiful.
