Ivy is over a week old already!?

I can hardly believe our little Ivy is already over a week old!  I have been attempting this post since her one week birthday, but haven't found enough time!  Right now she is down for a nap, so I'll try to hurry :)  I can't believe how much our lives have been blessed having this little one enter into our lives.  I can hardly imagine life without her and we've only had her for 10 days!  This little girl is everything to us.  She makes us smile and laugh so much.  She is so happy (when her belly is full...), I could just sit and stare at her for hours.  We feel so blessed having the Lord send us such a beautiful little girl.
This past week has been life changing.  My mom came down, what became only a day before I went into the hospital and was here from the moment labor started, until I felt well enough that Jamie and I could handle her on our own.  She made us meals, cleaned, and took care of our little one.  She taught me so much while she was here.  It was such a blessing having her here.  Jamie's parents have been so kind as well.  Michele and Layne brought over dinner one evening and has been there to support us through such a change in our lives.  Dorsie and Terry have also been there to help us along.  Last night, he purchased a beautiful rocking chair for us.  I can't tell you how much it has already changed the smoothness of our day and night!  Ivy absolutely loves it!  Being rocked and sang to is probably her most favorite thing right now.  Before we got the rocker, we were using my pilates ball trying to attempt the same motion.  She loved it, but when you start dozing off and almost fall... you have to think of option B, walking around the house constantly in the early hours of the morning.  We are so grateful for everything our families have done for us in helping us adjust to parenthood.  We love being parents, and look forward to many many happy times with our sweet daughter Ivy.

The Sullenger family.  We love our precious little girl so much!

Ivy loves motion!  She screams when she gets in her carseat, but then calms down when the car starts moving.  Finally, she falls asleep :)

Her first Doctor appointment.  Doctor said she looks great!  She definately likes to eat!  She left the hospital at 6 lb 9 oz, and came back to the doctor weighing 7 lb 2 oz!  She's eating very well!
Her stats:
Weight = 27th percentile
Height = 21st percentile
Head = 7th percentile
This is mom and I's attempt to a photo session!  LOL  We put on Enya to sooth her, and started putting rose petals all over her.  Then, she wet herself, and the rose petals started sticking to her bottom!  We were laughing so hard!  I guess we'll just have to wait til' Cara's sister takes them at the end of the month :)
