Spontaneous trip to Montana!

Friday afternoon, my brother Sid text me and asked if I wanted to head up to Montana with him and his girlfriend in a couple hours.  At that moment, I was in the process of cleaning up after a MASSIVE blow-out from Ivy, doing dishes, and cleaning the house.  Jamie and I talked about it, and thought...heck yes!  So, we hurried like two chickens with their heads cut off!  We packed, cleaned up after her blow-out, finished doing dishes, and payed rent all within only a little over an hour.  By the time Sid and his girlfriend came, I was sweating and panting!  But, we are so happy we went and wouldn't have missed it for the world.  It was so much fun!  ivy did awesome and slept practically the entire care ride up.  She absolutely loves motion, so she can't help usually but to fall asleep.  So, only my parents knew we were coming.  We surprised Baden and Amy's families, and RJ.  My family hasn't seen Ivy since the baby blessing, so they had fun seeing and holding her.  She has changed so much since the blessing it's not even funny!  My nephews were so cute with her.  Wade took on a big-brotherly role, and wanted to hold her the whole time.  It was so cute the night of the Priesthood meeting when Jamie told Wade "take good care of Ivy while I'm gone, ok?"  Well, Wade took that as though he was asked to babysit and incharge, so he kept coming up to me saying "I hold Ivy, and "Jamie said to take care of her, I'm ready to hold her now."  So cute!  It was a short trip, but we seemed to fit in a game of RISK, Murder in the Dark, Sardines, a long walk, General Conference (kind of....I'll have to rewatch it though!) and just hanging out with everyone.  The weather was even perfect!  We couldn't have asked for a better weekend!

Preston, Wade, and Troy checking out Ivy.  They haven't seen very many baby girls before!

During a game of Sardines!  The picture didn't turn out too well because I took it in the dark.

"Granny" holding Ivy.  Ivy's awake, and she's sleeping.  It was pretty cute!

Grandpa holding Ivy.

Jamie and Troy.  He wore his Superman costume all day.

RJ playing RISK with us.

I think this is only the 2nd game I have witnessed Sid ever losing, thanks to RJ!

This is the random road mark that we look forward to every time we drive up.  Once we see this cow, we know there is only one more hour to go!  We call it the "Blue-eyed cow" or "The Bull."

Ivy did so good on the car ride!  Thank heavens she had her blow-out before we left, or we'd been in trouble!

Thaks Sid for taking us with you!  We had a blast!

Linsy - you are looking so skinny! I love random trips - and I'm sure your family was so happy to see you!
