RJ as the Nutcracker. He did such a good job! One of the things I love most about going home for the holidays is the wood fireplace. So cozy and warm!
The family playing Settlers of Catan. A tradition when we get together.

Thanksgiving
This Thanksgiving we spent it with my family in Montana. We headed up on Saturday morning and braved the horrible roads all the way up. It took us an extra 2 1/2 hours between the snowy roads and traveling with a baby! But, it was all worth it when we got there! We had so much fun with everyone. For a few days we had all the family together. Both Sid and Baden and his family left the day before Thanksgiving, but we are happy we were able to spend time with them before they left. We played lots of games, had fun with the 6 nephews, and ate lots of turkey! Baden shot two wild turkeys, and Jamie and I brought up a turkey that my work gave us. So, needless to say we found lots of different ways to use turkey! Thanksgiving was great! We woke up to a ton of snow, watched the Macy's parade and cooked the feast. My mom, sister, and I worked as a team and each contributed something to meal. My job was the turkey... it was the first time I have ever done a turkey. My mom helped me out with it and showed me a few tips. All in all it turned out pretty good! The missionaries also came over for dinner. It was fun to have them over and play games. On Saturday, we all went and watched Riley in the Nutcracker at the Bigfork Playhouse. He actually was the Nutcracker in the play :) It was really fun to watch him and see him act. That boy has a lot of talent! The rest of the week we just enjoyed each other's company. We got a ton of snow while we were there. When we left, we had 16 inches! So, Derik took Jamie, Ivy, and I down to Electric Avenue in Bigfork to take some family photos in the snow. It was a lot of fun - he did an excellent job! The vacation came to a close way too quickly, but we are sure excited to be going back up for Christmas!
