Potty Training
Potty training just may have had the death of me. Holy cow, it's one of the hardest things I've done as a parent. I just about gave up multiple of times, but figured I invested so much time into it, I might as well keep going. I tried two different three-day methods, but she is a very stubborn girl, and they didn't work. Finally, after talking to my mom, and discussing my issues, she gave me some good advice! First off, Ivy does not like to do anything that's not her idea. She's extremely stubborn. So, after constantly reminding and asking Ivy if she needed to go potty, and having her throw fits just for asking... My mom said to simply stop asking and pretend I had four other kids to worry about too. That's exactly what I did, and you know what?! She started telling me when she needed to go! Every day has progressively gotten better since then and now she has been accident free for two days straight! Tonight she even told me three times when out in town she needed to go! I am so happy right now! She's doing awesome! Every time she goes, she gets a sticker and small candy, which has been a huge motivator for her. When she gets 25 stickers, she gets a surprise from a stash we have. She loves that! So, below are a bunch of pictures for our potty training journey. A couple of her prizes was a cake mix to make cupcakes with mom and a sun reflector painting thing. Her favorite prize so far has been the lip gloss though, hands down!

Ivy and Carson sound like two peas in a pod! We also struggled with potty training thanks to Carson's stubbornness. I knew it was going to be hard, but I never imagined it would be as bad as it was. Holy moley.... I thought I'd be sending him off to college in diapers!
