The Good Samaritan
So, I got a text from Jamie Friday at around 4:00 when he had just gotten off of work and was on his way home. The text said "I hope my lunch didn't have anything of "worth" in there, becasue I just gave my whole bag of food to a homeless man." When I met up with him that evening, I asked what his message was all about. He said he saw a homeless man on the side of the road, stopped at a stop light. He thought to himself "I wish I had something to give to him, like some food or something." He looked over and remembered he hadn't eaten his lunch that I had bagged up for him early that morning, reached over and with out looking in it, handed it over to the homeless man. Jamie said that the man was so thankful for it and said "Thank you so so much," as humbly as he possibly could. Jamie saw his sign that said "hungry, please help," and thought, "I wish I could do more." He then reached in his wallet and gave him some money. Jamie really has such a giving heart. This is just one of many times he has done something like this. When he was in Mexico with his dad and two brothers, he gave a homeless mexican man a 20 dollar bill....which you all know is worth a lot of pesos down there. I'm so thankful that I married such a wonderful man. He gives so much to me every single day, I fill spoiled to have him has my husband! He really is one of the most selfless and Christ like people I know, and sets a good example of 'giving' for me every day. I love you Jamie!
