The Paiute Golf Course...in the middle of nowhere.

Can you spot the coyote in the back ground?
This Saturday Jamie had a chance to go golfing at the Paiute Golf Course. This golf course includes three 18 hole courses all on the same place, which is actually located on an Indian reservation. So, Jamie actually played the Sun Mountain course at the Paiute Golf Course. There are three different difficulties: the Snow Mountain, the Sun Mountain, and the Wolf. Jamie's was considered middle difficulty. Overall it is a pretty big place when you think of it holding 54 holes! It was a scramble tournament all put towards a charitable cause to the battered women and children here in southern Nevada, and another education organization. In all, both organization had checks made out for 25,000 dollars! At every hole, there were booths giving out free stuff to support their business. They were all businesses that have been working with Perini, the construction company building the City Center Project here in Vegas. There were raffles with prizes like plazma screens! It was an expensive scramble, that cost 250 dollars a person, but work paid for it! Jamie bought 5 raffles, and ended up winning a 150 dollar gift card to the Callaway Golf Center. He was pretty stoked about it when he came home! He was the only one from his work that actually won something! Anyways, between that and all the free stuff that they gave away, he filled our kitchen table with just stuff! He had me take a picture of it so he could "brag" about it.
The first hole.

Jamie is so proud of this hole. He was the only one to get it over the lake with a strong wind blowing against him. The other three on his team landed in the water. They used his drive and his putt. He also made the over ten foot birdie putt on this hole, and there were only two in the game. His nickname through out the day was "Slugger" because of his long drives. They used most of Jamie's drives through out the game.

Another picture of the lake he hit over.

All the free stuff he got including five sleeves of golf balls, golf jacket, hat, golf towels, lunch boxes and the 150 dollar gift certificate he won at the raffle.
