We're Still Alive!

Hey everyone! Just to let y'all know...we ARE still alive! Things have been really crazy lately with moving into a new place, 4th of July, work, you name it... But, we have been doing great and we just LOVE our new place! Though, there were a couple things that have recently happened that we've had to deal with. First, we had the "attack of the ants" in our pantry. The second day we had moved in, and I got all my food in my cupboards, I looked in to grab something to munch on at almost 10:00 pm and saw THOUSANDS of ants swarming about in our food and basically everywhere in the pantry. It was disgusting. Sorry, no pictures on that one. We were too busy trying to kill the dang things and ended up having to run over to Lowes to grab several types of ant killer. Haven't seen any signs of them since! :) Then, on Saturday night at around 1:00 a.m. Jamie and I were sitting, watching T.V. and all of a sudden heard a big "bang" in our house. We scrambled around trying to find out what fell...and as I was searching in our laundry room to see if maybe the ironing board had fell, I heard through the garage door a freakin' river of water! I swung the door open, only to find our water heater was shooting water from the top, flooding our basement! There was so much water that when we opened up the garage door, it all just gushed out! So, we shut off the water and called the "emergency" maintenance number to have them tell us, "what do you expect us to do at this time of night?" So, we had to wait until the next morning.......long story short, we didn't have hot water until Monday evening! So, things have been a little hectic! But, no problems since then! "knock on wood!" We do love our place though, and are still in the process of getting things just how we like it. Here are some pics of us moving in. There was around 10 guys that showed up from our old ward to help us move out. We originally asked them to only move the big stuff so we could get the the smaller stuff by our selves. Pretty much, the inhaled the place! We were moved out in only a couple of hours, and had even gotten everything into our new place by then! They were such a big help! Bishop kept making fun of all my shoes! He just kept stuffing them in bag after bag! We had a good time though with everyone though. We had the best ward anyone could ask for and we will miss everyone!

So long Broadstone Montecito! We will not miss the one bedroom 700 sq feet place...but will miss the memories we made there. As you can see in the picture...our blinds melted yet another time. That place just boiled in the heat! On to greener pastures... :)
