NASCAR

Well, Jamie and I had the opportunity to go to the NASCAR Truck Races again this year. He got free tickets from his work like he did last year, so we actually had 8 free tickets, but only got to use three. I think it was just a busy weekend for a lot of people. We were, however, able to take our friend Steve to it while his wife is home in China. So, it was fun to be able to sit with him. Anyways, SO many people were there. I just love going to it. The excitment of the cars roaring their engines gives you a total rush! We ended up sitting by the most friendly little old lady, her name was Shirley. She came with her son, who is a friend of one of the racers. So, we rooted for #33. He actually got 5th place! He was the fastest qualifying truck for the races and was racing for championship. We saw a few wrecks, so that was pretty cool. I caught a picture of a truck that had gotten out of control and the back end of caught on fire! Everything was going so fast paced I couldn't capture many decent pictures without them being blurry. But, anyways, it was a lot of fun and such a perfect evening. The weather was absolutely wonderful too! Hopefully Jamie will get some free tickets again next year! :) Oh, and P.S. Dad, there was a truck that was representing "Gunbroker.com".....we thought of you!

The trucks all lined up while announcing the drivers. The one at the far right is #33, we rooted for him the whole race! :)
On the side note, Jamie got a new calling today. He is called to be the Hometeaching District Leader! So, we are excited about that. I on the other hand, had 7 Sunbeams today. I was so exhausted by the end. Before class started, I took them for a walk outside around the church to get rid of their "wiggles." Wow, they sure on one today!!! Such a cute class though! I love it!

Ha ha - Taylor's firm got free tickets, and we couldn't go because we were in St. George! Dang, we missed out! Okay, FOR REAL, when are we going to get together?!

Linsy, I can't believe you are into NASCAR! I never suspected you to be the type. You and Jaime are so adorable together. You've also changed so much. You are such a doll! I'm glad that we are able to keep in touch.
