Our first table!

So...we've been married for 6 years next month. Isn't that nuts? Well, all these years we've been married, we've never had our very own, REAL table. When we were very first married, we were eating off of end tables. Then, we upgraded to a card table. After that, Dorsie kindly provided us with a cute little wooden table to keep in the Rigby house. Oh, how I miss that little house... anyways, that's besides the point. It was a table, but nevertheless, not our own. We moved to Vegas in 2007, leaving behind all the plushness that the Rigby house brought us, into a 700 sq ft-one bedroom-apartment. Needless to say, we had no money to go buy ourselves a brand new table. That's when we brought out the ol' card table again- and we have used it ever since. Well, I'm happy to tell you that last week we finally broke down and bought ourselves our very own, real, wood, beautiful, TABLE! Thank you, Craigslist!!! Let me tell you a little bit about our newest addition to our home. It is from Pier 1. Handmade in Indonesia. Black with beautiful dark red brushes to give it some personallity. It has 4 wooden carved chairs, that are very sturdy and not wobbly. It's the perfect size, it's chunky, and it's oval. They even threw in the seat covers for free, and even washed them first! They even delivered it to our home! The best part is, it was a great deal and the family that had it before us took extremely good care of it. It's ours now, ALL OURS!
This is a pic of our first meal on our table. It was too pretty not to take a picture.... and it's only the yummiest salad you'll ever eat! I don't have a name for it yet, so I guess I'll just call it (for now) raspberry chicken salad. YUM!
Isn't she a beauty?!

What a cute table! Buying furniture is a huge deal! I remember when we bought our couch - we were like, "Wow, we're grown up now!"
Recipe please.
