Episode 2: Home for the Holidays

First things first, I need to give Kash and Cara credit for taking the first five pictures. We are definately going to frame the picture above of Jamie, Hudson, and Preslee. It's so perfect!

After we opened presents, played games, and ate yummy food at Michele and Layne's on Christmas Day, we headed over to Dorsie and Terry's house that evening. Before opening gifts, Terry prepared a story to be told by a talk from Elder Eyring. While we went around the circle and read the talk, she had "Mary did you know?" playing in the background. It was absolutely beautiful to hear. I'm hoping we make this a tradition every year. It really brought in the Spirit and made it a Christ-centered Christmas that we will never forget. After we read the story and then ate some of Terry's homemade battered shrimp, we exchanged gifts. Dorsie and Terry surprised us with a little scrap book letter inviting all the kids to a Moab Christmas this April! We are so dang excited about it! We will be hiking up to Dinosaur tracks one day, biking the next, and then going around a 1oo miles in Jeeps across the Moab on the third day! It's going to be so much fun!!! It was such a huge surprise! After we opened our presents, we just sat around and talked. I loved when Dorsie asked everyone "what was your most memorable Christmas?" It was fun to hear all the touching stories and memories.

Our last trip to See's while in Vegas, we grabbed a box of dark chocolates for Dorsie. He was pretty excited!
