Going from that....

to this.

I've been sitting in my living room, staring outside the window and watching the snow drift. I couldn't help but start thinking about Vegas. I miss Las Vegas. I miss the palm trees, the pool, the hottub, the shopping, our ward, friends, our beautiful condo, the weather...especially right now. It is drifting snow outside, and bitter cold out there. I guess it will take some time to get use to everything again, just as it took time to get use to Vegas. We made some fond memories there. Every weekend was a fun weekend. With so many different things to do and places to see, we never got bored. We lived at the pool in the summer time, and lived in the hot tub during the winter. We loved shopping at the outlets and getting sweet deals and going to new restaurants we had never heard of. Our favorite restaurant in the whole wide world is Cheesecake Factory. We miss it... a lot. We also loved taking a date night to Red Rock Casino and watching a movie at the theatre there, sometimes even a movie at their IMAX. We loved catching super cheap concerts. We loved going to the Bellagio fountains and watching the water-works. We loved hanging out with our friends and having game-night at Steve and Emily's. And we loved just taking a walk in Summerlin, where we lived, and enjoying the warm nights. There are so many things we miss about it. We are excited to be in Idaho, but it has been taking some getting used to. It's been so great living close to family. Infact, today we are going to Sunday dinner at Michele and Layne's. Last week we ate at Dorsie and Terry's and watched football. Last Saturday my brother Sid came over and played games, watched movies, and had dinner with us. Despite all the things we miss in Vegas, and the life we gave up there, it was worth it. We love our little condo we're in, and being close to everything in Idaho Falls. We love only being 4 minutes away from Michele and Layne. We actually enjoy the simple life here in Idaho. We're looking forward to those beautiful summer days where we can spend a Saturday at Rigby Lake, or go huckleberry picking, hiking, biking, or intertubing down the river. There are so many things to look forward to, and we're glad we're here!

This is how I feel when we leave Mississippi - I love it here and can't imagine being anywhere else. But you can make good memories anywhere! You can go ice skating, quick weekend trips to SLC or Park City (with outlets - including Banana Republic), sledding, snow shoeing (Dorsie and Terry have some to borrow), snowmen, family, new friends, grass that feels good to walk on...etc! You guys will make friends fast and get into a rhythm and will love it where ever you are! We love you!

I'm glad you are closer. We should plan weekend trips and hang out. We have a cheescake factory close to us, we'll have to plan to go there sometime! Love ya!

I felt like that too when we moved back north from Vegas. We still miss the people we met there and the places we loved going. It is comforting to know you are closer to family though. I hope you are doing ok! Go rent a funny movie and have a date night with Jamie. That'll help with some of the winter blues:) Love you and thinking about you...
